An excerpt from a conversation I recently had with a taxi driver on the way home from the airport.
Driver: "Are you from here or just visiting"
Me: "From here"
Driver: "Really? But you speak English correctly"
Me: "Well, I wasn't born here"For the record, the driver was from Italy and spoke mildly accented English.
